I am writing to respectfully request your support in promoting the First Annual “Lawndale Route 66 Festival: Where Cars, Concerts, and Culture Collide”, which will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in the North Lawndale community. The festival will take place along the historic Route 66 at 3700 - 3917 West Ogden Avenue, between Lawndale Avenue and Harding Avenue, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
This exciting event will feature several key attractions, including:
The 12th Annual Chicago's Historic Route 66 Classic Car Show
The Firehouse Community Art Center’s “Block Party”
“Live At Principals, Jazz Festival” by Principals Barbershops
The “Unified Lawndale” Church Service (Many Lawndale Churches United for one service)
Our very own “Great Lawndale Route 66 Blood Drive” in partnership with the American Red Cross.
The Lawndale Route 66 Festival will serve as an opportunity to celebrate our rich cultural heritage while also highlighting career opportunities for our youth. We aim to educate, inspire and engage the next generation by providing exposure to the arts, community leadership, and career pathways in various fields.
