Sunday, July 26th, 2026

What a DAY , what a CAR SHOW !

The day started early, 6:30 am, with great weather that eventually turned HOT and STEAMY !

We were all working hard setting up tents and equipment preparing for the show. By 7:00 am we had several cars waiting in the holding area waiting to register for the show, thankfully, the registration area was set up on Saturday and was ready to accept cars very quickly, they never stopped arriving.

We had a total of 195 cars entered in our show, 137 Corvettes, and 58 Chevys.

The largest class was the C-8, having 34 cars including a ZR1.

We had 96 cars that preregistered, including cars from Madison, Waukesha, Janesville, Madison, Atkinson, Brookfield, and Genoa City in Wisconsin, as well as from Aurora, Chicago, Algonquin, Marengo, and Dalton in Illinois, and even Dyer, Indiana.

We had cars entered in each of the 17 classes, 36 trophies’ awarded by popular vote, including Dealer's Choice and Best in Show. 142 ballots (71% of eligible ballots) were counted.

We had 7 food vendors at the show, including Burgers, Hot Dogs, Brats, Tacos, Ice Cream, Tropical Chill, Bakery goods, and a coffee truck. We also had a youth group selling water.

Our Spectator crowd is estimated at a whopping 500 plus.

Our Charity this year was the Lake County Sherriff K-9 Unit. Deputy Zerba and Hemi (K-9) performed a demonstration with the help of TOPPS training facility. We raised funds from our Trophy Sponsors, spectators on-site parking, and the donation bucket. Total donation is $1300.00 to be awarded at our August membership meeting.
