4th of July Parades

Arlington Heights Parade

First will be the Arlington Heights Parade.  We will meet (see attached map) at the entrance to the Arlington Park Train Station by 9:15am.  We will have a Driver’s meeting at 9:45am for departure at 10am to the staging area.

Mt. Prospect Parade

After the Arlington Heights Parade, we will go over to the McDonald’s in Des Plaines to meet (see attachment.)  I will provide a map from the end of the Arlington Heights Parade to the McDonald’s.

For those who are only joining us for the Mt. Prospect Parade, please meet us at the McDonald’s by 11:15-11:30am if you are having lunch.  If you are not having lunch, please arrive by 12Noon for the Driver’s meeting at 12:15pm.  We will depart the McDonald’s at 12:30pm to stage for the Mt. Prospect Parade.

Those attending both Parades

For those who are doing both parades, I do not know what time the Arlington Heights Parade will end and what time we will get over to the McDonalds.  We will just need to do the best we can.  Once the Arlington Heights Parade is finished, please do not delay. Head straight over to the McDonald’s. 

Please note: Maps from the Arlington Park meeting place to the Arlington Heights Parade staging area will be provided.  Maps from the McDonald’s to the Mt. Prospect staging area will be provided.

What to bring:

·       Hats

·       Sunglasses

·       Sun Protection

·       Water

·       For those attending both, perhaps bring a sandwich in case there isn’t enough time to have lunch at McDonald’s.  We need to be prepared!

What not to bring:

·       Do Not bring Candy – this is dangerous for the children who will want to run out into our pathway to get the candy

Once we stage at Arlington Heights, there is a bathroom at the church nearby.  There will be a bathroom at the McDonald’s, but once we stage at Mt. Prospect, there will not be bathrooms available.

This is always a fun time!  Can’t wait to see everyone there.
